ABOUT

Aerial Perspectives Australia was created as a project to capture and honor the beauty of Australia. In an overpopulated world that is constantly facing environmental pressures, Australia is one of the few countries worldwide that still offers sensational pristine areas and breathtaking wildlife encounters. Its nature need to be protected for a harmonious legacy for all. We thus capture Australia's beauty and the positive impacts of human actions from an aerial perspective, with the aim of raising awareness amongst all Australian residents and visitors.

We approach communities, NGOs, social enterprises, councils, environmentally conscious companies, individuals, anyone who is making a change, and we support their efforts. We believe that Australia needs positive news to be shared in order to promote action.

If you see us in town or in your city, approach to us and say hi! Tell us what you are doing and let’s explore together opportunities to spread the word and capture your work from an aerial perspective!

WHO WE ARE

We are Louis and Tania, Australian citizens with New Caledonian and Mexican backgrounds.  We have been living in Australia for a decade now, and every day we keep falling in love with it. This is why we decided to get out of the comfort zone, explore this country and do the Big Lap our style. As environmentalists from the heart and from profession, we use our drones and creativity to travel with a purpose, and give back to Australia whilst enjoying its mystical nature.

Louis Pont  -  Director and Chief Remote Pilot

Louis is a French islander from New Caledonia and soon to be Australian Citizen. He started Aerial Perspectives Australia in 2018 and is passionate about flying and the outstanding uses of drones. He has a Bachelor degree in Urban and Environmental planning and holds a RPA licence (RePl) and the Radio Certificate (AROC).

Louis has a passion for conservation, traveling, nature and challenging experiences that he discovered throughout the years in Australia.

After spending a decade in Australia and studying about climate change and conservation, Louis is really seeking to contribute to sustainable development to ensure a bright future for the next generations.

Tania Romero

Tania is Mexican-Australian, who from a young age  escaped the crowds of Mexico City to see and experience nature. She studied biology in Mexico and  worked in ecotourism in protected areas of Baja California. She moved to Australia to do her PhD in Environmental Science and Ecotourism at Griffith University.

After finishing her PhD she spent three years working at University, teaching environmental sustainability and assisting in research projects for climate change and conservation.

The Mavic 2 Pro is equiped with a Hasselblad 20 MP Camera with a 1” CMOS Sensor. It has a 31 minute flight time and omnidirectional obstacle sensing for increase safety.
The Dlog (10bit) ensure best colour quality to resemble reality. The Mavic 2 Pro have the following autonomous Intelligent Flight Modes;

  • ActiveTrack 2.0

  • Hyperlapse

  • QuickShots

  • Points Of Interest (POI 2.0)

  • Waypoint Navigation

  • Cinematic Mode

  • TapFly

The Mavic 2 Enterprise is used in mission that involves higher risks. It carries a high-resolution, 12-megapixel camera that is stabilized by a three-axis gimbal for smooth, stable video and images. Designed for dynamic operations, the camera extends the pilot's sense of sight with a 2x optical and 3x digital zoom capability. As with the M2P is has omnidirectional obstacle sensing. The Mavic 2 Enterprise has 3 additional modules:

-a super bright spotlight (2,400 lumens) is ideal for search and rescue as well as inspection applications.

-a loud speaker (100 decibels at 1-meter distance) provides a communications channel to nearby individuals that can be critical during lifesaving emergency operations.

-a beacon visible 5 km away. This helps pilots carry out missions in low-light conditions and provides additional airspace awareness for operators of nearby drones and traditional aircraft
